BiYuu AND CONFERENCE
We are proud to welcome a pop up exhibition of Mexico City-based textile artisans Bi Yuu – on display at EL Studio through the summer!
Bi Yuu is a Mexico City-based atelier of textile and social experimentation. The studio utilizes technical innovation and social responsibility as ways to explore the universe of textile design. We hosted two Bi Yuu team members, Graciela Reyes and Nicole Equiza, earlier this month to manage the installation. Their work are much more than rugs, linens, and tapestries – each piece is a story to tell.
Email us at info@elstudioarch.com for pricing information or to make an appointment to see these beautiful works in person!

BiYuu AND CONFERENCE

It was a blast to have this year’s AIA Conference right next door! EL Studio helped lead two sessions:
On June 6, Mark spoke on a panel called “How Design Creates Value in Public Housing” with designers from David Baker Architects and Shopworks Architecture, as well as Thor Nelson from the DC Housing Authority. The team discussed their efforts to leverage community-driven design in charting the future of the LeDroit Senior & Kelly Miller Housing development.
On June 8, Elizabeth and Sarah Beth led a tour of Prather’s Alley! The tour revealed how community partnerships helped realize our public space advocacy work through design work.
