Prather’s Alley Activation awarded TAP funding!

The Prather’s Alley activation project, developed in partnership with the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District and urbanSEED has taken another step towards reality by recently being awarded funding through the Federal Highway Administration’s Transportation Alternatives Program and the District Department of Transportation.  The project will design and construct a series of traffic calming measures in Prather’s Alley as well as include artistic placemaking initiatives in and around the alley.  As noted in TPB’s announcement, ‘as the region seeks to create more pathways for walking and biking, this unusual project can become a useful model for both the city and the region.’
