What is it like to work with us? Part I: Predesign

What is “predesign?”

Predesign is the phase where we gather all the information we need to understand the parameters of your project. The more we know, the better!

What do we do?

Relevant site information, building regulations, and project requirements are researched, verified, and visualized, equipping you with the tools to make decisions about scope, budget, and schedule.

What does it look like?

Our goal is to use drawing and diagram to translate project parameters into decision-making tools.
Often, our first step is to conduct a dimensional survey of your space and start to build a digital model that reflects the existing conditions.
Then, we compare our findings to building regulations and best practices. This “diagnostic” analysis allows us to identify challenges and opportunities early in the design process.

At the end of predesign, you will have a complete understanding of the range of possibilities your project could be. You will be empowered with the information you need to make selections and move forward with confidence. Next up: Schematic Design!
