What is “schematic design?”
Schematic design is the phase where your goals are tested against the project parameters established in predesign.
What do we do?
We test design concepts — layouts, volumes, and other spatial relationships — in an iterative fashion. We identify a few different approaches to solving each design problem, which become design options.
What does it look like?
The process of design iteration helps us to find the optimum solution. Reviewing multiple options — and the pros and cons of each — helps us to learn even more about your expectations.
At the end of schematic design, you will feel confident about selecting a single design approach to move forward with. Have questions about what schematic design would look like for your project? Get in touch!
